

Throughout the year, Groaner's offers promotions and events of interest to members and their families. Refer to this page to find out about upcoming programs, classes, meetings, and other club related information as well as health and fitness events planned within the community.
We will also be posting news bulletins or pertinent information regarding the club, it's members, personal trainers, or instructors. Our calendar lists classes and may list events as well. Make sure you print out the club calendar each month for easy reference.
Biggest Loser Challenge
Effective the first of January, 2010, the Community Biggest Loser Challenge is underway and will continue for three months ending in April. There are well over 300 challengers this year in our biggest and best Challenge ever! We wish all Challengers "good luck" and remind everyone that healthy nutritional changes and a consistent exercise program is the best way to lose weight and keep it off. The Challenge is sponsored each year by OHOC (Our Health-Our Community) which is supported by Grangeville Physical Therapy, Groaners Gym, Syringa Hospital and Clinics and the University of Idaho Extension Office. OHOC brings lectures and programs that promote health and fitness in our community. Watch for upcoming events in our local news.

Boot Camp comes to Grangeville! Beginning in June and running into the month of September, Groaners and the University of Idaho will be offering "Kick Your Boot Camp!" Course leaders will be Kirstin Jensen who works with the University of Idaho Extension Office in Grangeville and Christine Knight Hauger. The Boot Camp will be held Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:00 am to 8:00 am and will take place outdoors (or indoors) dependent upon the weather. Boot Camp will be a Kick-bootie mix of cardio, strength, balance, speed and agility exercises using various props such as cones, ladders, mini-hurdles, jump ropes and more. Boot Camp is open to the public. Groaners members will not be charged a class fee but a drop in fee will be charged to non-members. The camp will be for ages 16 and up and for all fitness levels. The course is sponsored by Groaners and the University of Idaho. Call Groaners for more information and signup.
